OLD WOORE SCHOOL TRUST

The Trust administers funds raised on the sale of the Old Woore School building, and invested to realise income since 2008. Grants are usually made from interest earned rather than capital.

Applications are invited from young people under the age of 25 who are resident within the Parish for help with their educational needs. A variety of educational needs and costs have been met over the years – do not hesitate to inquire. Please apply by letter, at any time in the year, to :

It has been a quiet year, with only one award of £250.00 being made, with two applications pending. During the year we sadly received the resignation of Mrs Ann Lindop, a founder trustee, due to ill health.

The current Trustees (March 2024) are:-

Note: At September 2023 a total of 74 people had received about £25,000 in grants since the creation of the Trust. Because of individual confidentiality, no further details are released of those made.
